WESTMINSTER, MD – October 1, 2025

Expanding Boundaries International (EBI) is proud to announce the inaugural Global Young Innovators STEAM Fest, a premier event dedicated to youth empowerment through Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). The festival will take place on July 11, 2026, at the Kibi Presbyterian College of Education, further establishing the Eastern Region, Ghana, as a vibrant center for African innovation and global collaboration.

Enhancing an Established Program: STEAM Fest Integration

What makes this event a phenomenal two-in-one program is its integration with EBI’s established High School and College Study Abroad Program. EBI has a proven track record of facilitating international education and cultural immersion.

The cohort of US students participating in the 2026 Ghana Study Abroad trip will now have the unique opportunity to blend their immersive cultural exploration with direct participation in the STEAM Fest. This strategic integration enhances the educational value by providing a real-world platform for global citizenship and innovation.

The US and Ghanaian students on the trip will first explore Ghana’s rich cultural landscape, then pause their educational tour to join the main event. Here, they will contribute their ideas, engage with local youth, and demonstrate that global ingenuity knows no borders.

  • Global STEAM Exchange: US students will share their projects, mentor young innovators, and be inspired by the creativity and technical solutions being developed by African youth.
  • Two-Part Exploration: The festival serves as the central, high-impact moment for the EBI Ghana Study Abroad 2026 cohort before they continue their cultural and educational journey across Ghana.
  • Ghana STEAM Competitions: Ghanaian youth will solve real-world problems, blending traditional knowledge with cutting-edge technology.
  • Youth Innovation Showcases: Young African innovators will present original projects demonstrating the global impact of local, Ghanaian ideas. US Study Abroad students are also welcome to submit their own STEAM projects.
  • Interactive Digital Skills Workshops: Expert-led sessions will deliver practical training in coding, robotics, design thinking, and the arts.
  • Community Health Screening: A dedicated section will offer essential health screening services to the community, emphasizing the role of STEAM in public health.
  • This festival is more than a gathering—it’s a community movement calling on Ghana’s educators, organizations, professionals, and families to champion youth empowerment. Together, we can:

    • Support as Sponsors: Invest in resource access, mentorship, and lasting impact for Ghanaian students.
    • Guide as Mentors: Help shape tomorrow’s leaders through meaningful career and innovation guidance.
    • Share as Speakers: Lend your voice and experience on technology, entrepreneurship, and creativity, inspiring the next wave of change makers.
    • Contribute as Volunteers: Join hands to make STEAM Fest a success and leave a legacy of opportunity for generations to come.

The Global Young Innovators STEAM Fest reflects Expanding Boundaries International’s belief in the unparalleled potential of Ghana’s youth. By bringing the festival to the Eastern Region, we honor the nation’s longstanding commitment to learning and growth, and invite all Ghanaians to be part of this journey of discovery, unity, and progress.

The Global Young Innovators STEAM Fest is set to inspire and equip over 2,000 Ghanaian students and their international peers with the crucial 21st-century skills.
